I had heard how awful some 'mother of the bride' dresses are, and when I started my search, I found out it is true.  I saw some that were very ugly due to design, colors such as deep beige, olive green or dull brown, and trimming such as ropy netting. I happened on The Evening Store while doing a general web search and was very pleased with the selection.  I ordered the Monica dress.  The dress fits well, is modest but not stodgy, and the beading is attractive.  Your service is very good.  On the day I ordered the dress in a small, you called to be sure that was the size I wanted and I decided on the Medium.  This did turn out to be too large, but you sent the Small right away and the return was no hassle. I appreciated the personal service. I might suggest a wider color selection; I would have been interested in the Monica in some other deep jewel tones like teal, purple etc.  Shoes would be helpful also."

Even though the dress has a beaded top, it is light and not heavy to wear. I was a little afraid of that, since it was an August wedding, but it was very comfortable. The first dress I ordered was a little snug, I called Barry, and he sent me the next size right away to try. I picked the one I wanted and returned the the one I didn't. It was very easy to do. I have already recommended this site to quite a few of my friends. The only things that I would like to see are more color choices in the dresses (I would have really preferred a darker, rose pink, but the soft pink was ok), and petite sizes. This dress was supposed to be tea length, but it ended up being a perfect length for a floor length dress. I actually liked the longer length, but again, it would have been nice to have that choice. "I ordered Dolly, in a beautiful shade of pink, from The Evening Store for my mother to wear to my niece’s (her granddaughter’s) wedding.  It not only looked great on her, but was comfortable, and she felt great wearing it.  At 80 years old, she looked and felt beautiful and elegant. She’s petite, and except for needing a small hem, the dress fit perfectly.  I looked at numerous websites, and yours was the only one with this style dress.  Styles with jackets were either too overwhelming for her small frame, or were too low cut. My mother came up from Florida, where she lives, to visit me in Virginia in mid-June.  She was discouraged, as she had not yet found a dress, and time was running out.  The wedding was this past weekend.  To make matters worse, she fell and broke her upper arm during the visit, and it was a struggle for her to try dresses on in the stores.  She became very discouraged, to say the least. I ended up staying up all night, searching the internet, determined to find a dress for her.  The next morning, I showed her dozens of them I had bookmarked, and the only one she even remotely liked was Dolly.  I ordered it in two sizes and two colors (the other a beautiful shade of blue), as time was REALLY running out, and we didn’t have time for any mistakes!  The dresses arrived in a couple of days, as promised, and were both beautiful, and in perfect condition.  In fact, the only problem was that she didn’t have a second wedding to attend, where she could wear the blue one.  I returned the blue one, and we were both very pleased with all aspects of doing business with The Evening Store. Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the Natalia dress I purchased from The Evening Store.  I purchased the pink Natalia to wear in my daughter’s wedding on June 7th.  I did not want to comment on the dress until I actually wore it.  Now that the wedding is over I can make very honest statements about the dress. It was PERFECT!  The size chart guided me to the perfect fit. I did not have to have one alteration done on the dress.   The color was indeed much prettier in person.  The website does not do the pink dress justice at all.   I had the dress steamed before traveling 400 miles to the wedding and it traveled so wonderfully! No wrinkles at all.  It was an outside wedding in Charleston, SC and the temperature was very warm and humid. The dress did not show any perspiration marks and was fairly cool. I had so many very nice and positive comments on my dress! I could not be more pleased with the product itself. As for your customer service…it was incredible! As a plus size woman I was faced with finding a suitable Mother of the Bride dress in general but to find one online that I could try AND return was virtually impossible!  Actually, your company was the only one I found and that was the original reason I choose to order from The Evening Store. "I really cannot put into words how wonderful your facility is.  I was at the point of total depression trying to find a 'plus-size' dress for a symphony ball.  When I stumbled upon your company - I thought it was 'too good to be true'. I had gone to another facility first.....IT WAS HORRIBLE.  The dresses were not sized appropriately......they refused to take it back......they were rude and hostile.  I was charged $380.00 for a dress that I cannot use.  It is still in the package with the tags on it because I can's use it nor will I ever. You followed-up with me to make sure that I was happy with my selection and the fit. Because of your quality of garment - I have to admit that I was stunning in that gown.  I honestly felt beautiful.
