After looking at what is available here in the United States and seeing prices on Pashmina Shawls from $129 to $450, we went to Nepal to see exactly why there is such a disparity. We found out that there are many, and we mean many, different quality Pashminas being used. Here we tell you exactly what you will get.

Pashmina is commonly known as Cashmere Wool and is blended with silk to give you the best possible feel. Because there are many different blends, difficulty in dying lighter colors, different sizes, different plies (i.e. 1 ply, 2 ply, 1/2 ply), and different qualities (i.e. AA, A, BB, B, etc.), you see many different prices.
